  Real-world data (RWD) has become popular in health research, offering timely, cost-effective, and generalizable insights compared to randomized controlled trials. Publicly available databases and electronic health records provide opportunities for generating robust evidence.
   
  This workshop introduces the principles and practical implementation of target trial emulation using TriNetX, a global analytics platform. Participants will learn why, when, and how to effectively perform target trial emulation.
   
  Participants will learn the fundamental concepts of comparative epidemiologic studies and engage in hands-on exercises to apply theoretical insights using the TriNetX platform. They will navigate the interface, identify relevant cohorts, define exposures and outcomes, and perform analyses emulating hypothetical trials. Structured examples and guided activities led by experienced instructors will enhance participants’ skills in protocol design, cohort selection, and data interpretation.
